Benefits of Chess:

My chess philosophy is that chess is not just for a privileged few. Chess is for all kids of all ages. Everyone who learns chess gets immediate benefits. Everyone decides for themselves how far chess can take them, from the absolute beginner to the chess master.   My chess program has special lessons for kindergartners, later beginners, the next Bobby Fischer, and everyone in between! Children are naturally drawn to chess as a fun and challenging game, especially when they learn from me! I teach using stories, examples, puzzles, mazes and creative thinking techniques that I have developed in my many years of teaching and playing chess in order to help kids remember and enjoy the game of chess.  Playing chess may seem like just having fun to kids, but they are actually thinking their way to success!  Children participating in my chess programs gain big benefits! These benefits include developing problem solving skills, improving patience, memory, and analytical ability. Chess has shown to improve student’s grades in school.  Also, chess helps kids gain confidence, build discipline, increase concentration, plan to succeed, develop critical thinking skills, recognize patterns, improve communication skills, build memory skills, learn sportsmanship, chess etiquette,.....and much more!
